This policy explains what personal information I collect through onuribrahim.com, why I collect it, who helps me handle it and what rights you have. I've kept it as plain as I can. If anything is unclear, just ask.

Who I am

This website is run by me, Onur Ibrahim. When this policy says "I", "me" or "my", it means me, and I'm responsible for the personal information collected here.

What I collect

Information you give me

When you fill in a form on this site, for example to download the Before You Sell guide, take the Offer Truth Builder quiz, sign up for my notes, book a conversation or send an enquiry, I collect what you enter. That's usually your name and email address, and sometimes your phone number, your company details, your quiz answers or your message.

If you email or call me, I keep a record of that conversation and your contact details.

Information collected when you visit

When you browse the site, the analytics and advertising tools listed below collect technical information. This includes your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, how you found the site and when you visited.

How I use it and why

• To give you what you asked for. That means sending the guide or your quiz results, replying to your enquiry or arranging a call. I do this because you've asked me to.
• To send you follow-up emails. After you download a guide or finish the quiz, you'll get a short series of emails, plus my notes if you subscribe. One of them explains that I buy businesses. I do this with your consent, which you give when you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link and you can stop at any time.
• To have business conversations. If we talk about selling your business, a growth partnership or other work, I keep notes and records so I can manage that conversation properly. I do this because it's in our shared legitimate interest, or because we're entering into a contract.
• To understand and improve the site. I look at visitor statistics to see which pages help people and which don't. I do this with your consent where cookies are involved.
• To measure and show adverts. I use the Meta Pixel to see whether my Facebook and Instagram adverts work, and to show adverts to people who have visited this site. I do this with your consent.
• To meet legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.

I don't sell your information, and I don't make decisions about you using automated processes alone.

The services I use

These companies process information on my behalf and only as I instruct them.

• Pingbean, built on HighLevel (LeadConnector). It hosts this website, its forms and booking pages, stores contact records and sends my emails.
• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, for visitor statistics.
• Meta Pixel, for measuring and showing adverts on Facebook and Instagram.
• Cloudflare, for website security, speed and basic visitor statistics that don't use cookies.
• Google Fonts, which loads the fonts on this site and so receives your IP address.
• My email provider, which holds any emails we exchange.

Some of these companies process information outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

I may also share information with my professional advisers, such as my lawyers or accountants, if I need to, or if the law requires it. If a conversation about buying your business moves forward, I'll only share your details with advisers or funders with your agreement and under confidentiality.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses these:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on, and manage the adverts Meta shows you in your Facebook ad preferences.

How long I keep it

• Enquiries and contact records: while we're in touch, and for up to two years after our last contact.
• Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. After that I keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so I don't email you again by mistake.
• Records of business dealings: up to six years, for legal and tax reasons.
• Website statistics: no more than 14 months in Google Analytics.

Keeping it secure

I use reputable providers, keep access to your information limited, and protect my accounts with strong passwords and two-step sign-in. No system is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to look after what you share with me.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
• ask me to correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
• ask me to delete your information
• ask me to limit how I use it
• object to how I use it, including stopping marketing emails at any time
• ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before

This site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

I'll update this page if anything changes, and the date at the top will show when it was last revised.
